INCEPTION

Following the Special Election of November 03, 2009, the citizens of Ovilla and the surrounding ETJ voted to authorize the establishment of the Municipal Development District.

The Ovilla City Council canvassed the election with the adoption and approval of Resolution 09-017: Authorizing the creation of the City of Ovilla Municipal Development District and the imposition of a sales and use tax at the rate of one-fourth of one-percent for the purpose of financing development projects beneficial to the district.

The MDD is scheduled to meet the first Monday (every other month) only when necessary at 5:00 P.M. in the Ovilla City Council Chamber Room, 105 S. Cockrell Hill Road.
