The Ovilla Police Department is a Community-Oriented Police Department. The department includes ten sworn officers and a secretary. 

Command Staff:
Brian Windham, Chief of Police. 
Joey Bennett, Lieutenant of Police over Field Operations and Investigations.
Scott Kretlow, Sergeant

The officers are available 24 hours a day to protect and assist the citizens of Ovilla and anyone who may be passing through the city.

The department will check your home when you are away, aid in fingerprinting needs, assist in setting up Neighborhood Watch groups, inspect your home or business for better ways to protect them, register your home or business alarm system, and numerous other things only a caring small town police department will do.
