Ovilla residents encouraged to participate in municipal government by serving

Economic Development Corporation 4B:
The creation of the “OEDC” was authorized by the voters of Ovilla in November 2007 for the imposition of a sales and use tax at the rate of one-half of one-percent for the purpose of assisting in the business development throughout Ovilla. This is a seven-member board of directors appointed by Council, serves to focus-on-the-future to foster, promote and attract unique, selective and diverse business partners that complement Ovilla’s community needs throughout the retail trade area.  EDC Meetings:  The EDC meetings are at 6:00 p.m. on the third Monday of the month as needed.

The Ovilla City Council appoints members to the boards and commissions each year.  Most positions carry two-year terms.

To indicate your interest in serving on the EDC Board, please complete an application and mail to or bring to the municipal office, 105 S. Cockrell Hill Road, Ovilla, TX 75154. Please call the office of the city secretary at 972-617-7262 or email Pam Woodall or Glennell Miller for additional information.
