Job Title:                 Code Enforcement - Part-time position
Benefits:                  N/A
Status:                         Non-exempt 
Pay Range:                  $15.73/hour  -  $22.39/hour

The City of Ovilla is accepting applications for a Part-time Code Enforcement Officer.  The position will be required to work 12-20 hours per week. Weekend work required. The purpose of this position is to identify violations of state and local laws and codes, and to maintain and enhance property values.  Additionally, this position is to provide for the health and safety to the citizens of the City of Ovilla through the enforcement of City ordinances. 

Requirements:                 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Physical activity of bending & lifting up to 100 lbs
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Ability to pursue and obtain additional job-related training and certification including septic system inspection training and State Plumbing Inspectors License.

Required Licenses or Certificates:
Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license

  • Texas Certified Code Enforcement Officer Certificate
  • Ability to pursue and obtain additional job-related training and certification including septic system inspection training and State Plumbing Inspectors License.
